What to look for in a savings account

"When shopping around for a savings account, there are a number of things you should look for. First of all, try to find an account with a good interest rate, and no account keeping fees. Ask if the account has a minimum balance. And make sure you compare the interest rate to other savings accounts, so you know you're getting a good deal." - Steven Mickenbecker, CANNEX Head of Research, Product and Strategy.

Online savers, a good alternative to term deposits?

"This is one of our most commonly asked questions, and the short answer is yes. Online savers provide a relatively safe place to deposit money and offer a high interest rate. While term deposits may offer an even higher rate, they do not allow the same instant access to your money. Online savers are a good investment option, especially if you think you will need access to the money at some point in the near future." - Peter Arnold, CANNEX Analyst.
